Customers who have shopped at four Aldi stores in Casey have been put on alert after a delivery driver tested positive to Covid-19.

A warning was issued urging anyone who had visited Aldi at its Eden Rise, Casey Central, Fountain Gate, and Endeavour Hills shopping centre stores on 12 August to watch for symptoms.

“While the risk of transmission to customers and team members is low, as an extra precautionary measure, the store will be deep cleaned,” Aldi said in a statement posted to its website.

“We have made contact with our store team members and have provided our full support to those required to self-isolate in line with advice from the health authorities.”

Aldi said customers should be “assured that they can continue to shop safely” at all four stores but has recommended anyone with symptoms including a fever, cough, sore throat, fatigue and shortness of breath to seek medical advice.

Meanwhile, a delivery driver who entered Aldi’s stores at Dandenong Market and Dandenong Plaza has also tested positive for Covid-19.
