The community will have the opportunity to honour the sacrifices of the brave men and women who served the country in a range of Anzac Day commemorative services and remembrance marches in Casey.
Casey Council invites residents and visitors to come along and pay their respects at a service on Anzac Day, Wednesday 25 April which has been driven by the dedicated people-power of local RSL sub-branches and community groups.
City of Casey Deputy Mayor Cr Amanda Stapledon said it was an important day for the community to keep the ANZAC spirit alive and encouraged everyone to attend a service.
“ANZAC Day is a day that I believe is to be treated with great reverence and a day to reflect on the service, sacrifice and spirit of fighting for what is right and preserving what is good,” she said.
“It is also a day to observe why we live in such a great, peaceful and safe country as Australia; because those who went before us gave their all for their country and for future generations.”
