CASEY mayor Colin Butler officially opened Settlers Run Golf and Country Club in Cranbourne yesterday (Wednesday).
The opening of the Medallist $300 million development, a joint venture between Greg Norman’s Great White Shark Enterprises and Macquarie Bank, was attended by new residents and locals keen to explore the facility.
Cr Butler said he had seen the development grow from a concept on paper and was still amazed by the outcome.
“I knew the golf course was going to be good, but the design of the country club and landscaping is just fantastic,” he said.
“It will be a tremendous facility for Cranbourne and the City of Casey. I feel privileged to be able to open such a wonderful development.”
Settlers Run comprises 500 houses surrounding an 18-hole Greg Norman-designed championship golf course and the Settlers Run Golf and Country Club.
