Take your tastebuds around the world

International travel may be out of the question right now, but your tastebuds can still go on an adventure – without even leaving the comfort of your couch.

Riks Mahal in Narre Warren offers a mouth-watering range of authentic Indian, Sri Lankan, Malaysian and Singaporean cuisine. The menu is extensive and sure to offer something for every member of the family to enjoy – from juicy butter chicken, the spicy favourite chicken 65, eggplant masala and kuey teow.

Restaurant owner Ahilan Ganeshapillai has 15 years of experience in the food industry and has been running Riks Mahal since 2018. While he and his staff miss their dine-in customers, they are continuing to operate during stage three restrictions, offering takeaway only. The good news is that the full menu (except naan bread) is available for takeaway, including popular south-east Asian drinks like Tea Tare, Milo Ice and Mango Lassi.

Riks Mahal can cater to food allergies with an extensive range of vegetarian dishes too and most meals are gluten free. On weekends, customers are in for a treat, with special deals on offer: mamak rojak, chicken Muslim briyani and mutton Muslim briyani. Other in-house specials that you won’t find anywhere else are the Indian snack pack, Malaysian snack pack and Singapore mutton chops.

Riks Mahal can deliver direct to your door too. They offer in-house delivery using their own driver through the restaurant’s website, which is cheaper for the customer. Delivery is available within a 10km radius of the restaurant for a $5 charge with a minimum order of $25. However, delivery is also available through Menulog, Uber Eats and Door Dash.

Riks Mahal is open for lunch and dinner, from 12pm-9pm Tuesday to Sunday. Find them at shop 2/2-8 Victor Crescent, Narre Warren, visit www.riksmahal.com.au or call 9705 9366.
