Superheroes, princesses, and space rangers took centre stage at Cranbourne’s Station House Early Years learning Book Week celebrations.

There was a buzz of excitement among children who dressed up as their favourite book characters on Thursday 22 August.

Business manager Jade Currie said the focus on the week was the children’s feeling and emotions as a part of the well being and mindfulness program.

“Giving children the vocabulary to communicate their emotions gives them the tools to help self- regulate and cope in different situations,” she said.

“Reading children book s such as ‘When I am feeling jealous’, ‘When I am feeling sad’ and ‘sharing a shell’ amongst others helps children to relate to these emotions.”
