Banjo Paterson Park in Lynbrook and Lynbrook Railway Station are becoming hotspots for unlawful gatherings of youth disturbing the peace.
City of Casey will be seeking assistance from police to undertake a safety audit at Banjo Paterson Park.
“My understanding is that the police response to these issues isn’t that bad,” Cr Wayne Smith said.
“Council and the Lynbrook Residents Association for a long time have been advocating and in particular have been lobbying for increased lighting in that area and video surveillance.
“It’s something that we all agree should be there but the funding is a big issue.”
