Express your view to Casey councillors: Casey councillors Wayne Smith and Damien Rosario want to meet River Gum Ward residents and hear residents’ views and local issues they wish to discuss. They''ll be travelling around the River Gum Ward on Saturday 5 May to the following locations, so head along and visit them: • Lynbrook Village Shopping Centre - outside Suburban Grind Cafe between 9:30am-10.15am • Hampton Park Shopping Centre - outside Woolworth between 10.30am-11.15am • Autumn Place Shops, Doveton - outside the bakery between 11.30am-12.15pm • Spring Square Shops, Haslam - outside Transylvania Cafe between 12.30pm- 1.15pm

Mother’s Day market:

The Cranbourne Girl Guide support group is organising a Mother’s day market at the Cranbourne Girl Guide Hall. Many stalls to find that perfect gift for mum. Le Reve, cosmetics, hand made handbags, linen, jewellery, kids toys. Devonshire tea and sausage sizzle will be running. Entry is a gold coin donation and raffle tickets will be for sale. Free entry for children aged under 16.

Fundraiser stall

Hallam unit of Red Cross Australia is holding a stall to raise funds at Autumn Place shops, Doveton.

• Friday 4 May, 9am – 2 pm. Handcrafted items, cakes and preserves, plants and all sorts of bric-a-brac as well as gifts suitable for Mother’s Day will be on sale. Bargains galore. Raffle will be drawn on the day. Anyone wanting to donate saleable items please contact 9774 0194.

Bunjil Place Library Art Space: A Year in Casey County by Kathleen Newman

Kathleen Newman’s beautiful watercolour sketchbooks tell the story of her first year in the suburb she now calls home, as told in (a few) words and lyrical drawings. It is a record of the mundane and the everyday – her personal observations and daily experiences moving to a new neighbourhood on returning to Melbourne after 45 years abroad.
