Kitchen helper needed

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

THE Hampton Park Uniting Church is seeking a volunteer to help co-ordinate its annual Christmas lunch.
The church lacks a kitchen co-ordinator this year and is looking for someone with the skills to run the kitchen for a two-course lunch for about 120 to 150 people.
Parish Minister, Reverend Mat Harry said the task was no small undertaking, but was sure someone in the community would have the skills and heart to take on the position.
“We would love to connect with someone who has got skills to run the kitchen on Christmas Day and the planning leading up to it,” he said.
“It can be quite a significant job but it’s very rewarding.
“We need to begin planning the menu and make sure this new person is familiar with the kitchen and the other volunteers.”
The traditional Christmas lunch provided by the volunteers provides a place for those in the community who may not have people to share the holiday season with.
Anyone who would like to help the Hampton Park Uniting Church this Christmas can contact Diane Leak on 0408 057 211.
