A MAN ripped out the radar unit of a speed camera on the outside of a parked car in Cranbourne last month.
The speed camera car was damaged by the unknown man on Duff Street, on Monday 12 October, about 1.50pm.
Pulling up behind the speed camera vehicle in a Holden Commodore sedan, the man approached the operator before trying to open the locked car doors.
He then proceeded to rip off the lead to the radar unit on the outside of the car, breaking the cord and damaging the unit.
The speed camera operator managed to take a photo of the man and police are keen to speak with him.
Investigators have released the image taken in the hope that someone may be able to identify him.
