TOORADIN Primary School’s Prep students celebrated an exciting milestone in their education journey when they celebrated their 100th day of school this week.
The school held a celebration on Monday to mark the occasion with a range of activities based on the theme of 100, along with a party for lunch.
Each Prep student was asked to bring in a collection 100 of something, with students bringing in items including photos, lemons, stickers, blocks, buttons, gems, biscuits and balloons.
Tooradin Primary School early years co-ordinator Rachel Davis said the students were bursting with excitement to celebrate the occasion.
“This day forms an important memory in each Prep student’s educational journey and many of our Grade 6 students were able to share and reflect on when they were the little Preps on their 100th day of school,” she said.
“One Prep student did ask if we could have another special day the next day for the 101st day of school.
“We are very thankful to the parents and grandparents who helped each child to count their collections to make sure they had exactly 100 things.”
