CASEY kids have been brushing up on their road safety skills with some school holiday fun at the Casey Safety Village.
Children from across the municipality visited the village during the school holidays to learn about road and community safety with educational programs for kindergarten and primary school aged children.
The village hosted representatives from Metro Trains, Ambulance Victoria, Casey RACE and the CFA this week who ran sessions on different types of safety.
City of Casey Mayor Geoff Ablett said the school holiday program was designed to educate some of the youngest residents in a safe, fun, controlled and positive learning environment.
“Children and their families have a fun day out walking and riding their bikes around a mini version of roads and streets while experiencing different road and traffic conditions,” he said.
“The circuit is over 6000 square metres, comprising of working traffic lights, road signs, level crossings and much more.”
The Casey Safety Village is located at 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road, Cranbourne East.
Bookings are essential and can be made at by calling 9705 5200.
