Attacker strikes woman in face

A MAN punched a woman in the face during a random attack at a Cranbourne park this month.
The woman was walking home at about 6.30pm on Thursday 8 May through a park at the corner of Calais Circuit and Breens Road.
A man came out from behind some bushes and asked the woman where she lived, before punching her once to the face.
The woman ran to a neighbouring house for assistance, where an ambulance was called.
She was taken to Casey Hospital for a check-up, which revealed she didn’t suffer from any significant injuries, just bruising.
The man was described as being of stocky build and wearing a black hoodie.
Police are seeking assistance from the public about the incident and urged anyone with information to call 1800 333 000.
