CRANBOURNE Radio Rentals store manager has been recognised for her dedication and hard work with a national award.
Narre Warren resident Kerry MacDonald was named runner-up Employee of the Year at Radio Rentals’s annual awards held last week.
Ms MacDonald was honoured as one of the top of her league above 500 other company employees from more than 80 stores in Australia.
Previously assistant manager for the Cranbourne store, Ms MacDonald took the reins at the store when the need arose and is currently managing the team.
Radio Rentals Victorian sales and operations manager Alan McKinlay said Ms MacDonald’s dedication to her team and constant willingness to step in and help has been the guiding factor in her nomination.
“Kerry has been the epitome of dedication this past year,” he said.
“As well as her willingness to get the job done, she has also shown a flexibility and persistence that has contributed to an overall positive year for the store and it is a testament to her hard work.”
Ms MacDonald said she had no idea that she had even been nominated for the award.
“I wasn’t expecting it at all,” she said.
“It was a very proud moment for me when I found out I was one of the top employees.
“Of course I always try to do my best but it was so nice to be recognised by my peers.”
Radio Rentals chief operating officer James Marshall said the award allowed them to recognise and give back to the people that make the company tick.
“Kerry is a fine example of the Radio Rentals ethos and it is a pleasure to be able to recognise her hard work in this way,” he said.
“Her commitment and dedication have contributed to making this past year successful for the company.”
