A CRANBOURNE business is encouraging people to get sweaty for a good cause this weekend.
Bodyworks Fitness is hosting its Get Healthy Day on Saturday to encourage people to get active while raising money for local charity Windermere.
The Casey community are invited to attend and have a free work out at the gym from 8am until 2pm.
At 10am there will be a 500 metre row challenge, at 11am a free 30 minute circuit training and at 12noon maximum push up in a minute competition, with all winners to receive a prize pack.
At 1pm there will be a charity auction, for clients to bid on ‘training one of the trainers’.
Bodyworks Fitness manager Chris Lock urged people to come along.
“Basically we want people to become interested in joining a gym and getting moving and active,” he said.
“We want to show people what getting fit and active is all about… while raising money for a good cause.
“Obviously, with the increasing obesity rates, it’s more important for people to become active now rather than later in life.
“Everyone’s welcome and we’d love to see everyone come down.”
A number of other business are involved on the day including BSc, a supplement company who will be running protein taste testers, Sportsco Cranbourne, Ella Bache Cranbourne and Australian Institute of Fitness. A local butcher has also supplied meat for a barbecue.
Bodyworks Fitness is located at 1/106 Camms Road, Cranbourne.
