Children have a ball

LOCAL families havebeen urged to ‘Spring Into Action’ during Children’s Week this month.
The City of Casey willhold two free family ‘SpringInto Action’ events during the week which will include child-friendly activities, zumba, drumming, arts and crafts, a free sausage sizzle and information stalls.
The first event will be held at Old Cheese Factory, Homestead Road, Berwick, from 10am to 2pm on Tuesday 25 and the other at Robert Booth Reserve, Somerville Road, Hampton Park, on Wednesday 26 October.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes encouraged everyone to go along and enjoy the day.
“With more than 17,000 children aged up to four years old in Casey, council is committed to providing services and events that promote early childhood development and encourage the community involvement of children and families,” she said.
‘Spring into Action’ is a partnership project between City of Casey, Southern Health, Good Beginnings, Cranbourne Communities for Children and Doveton Primary School.
As parking is limited, attendees are encouraged to walk to the events if possible.
