PARLIAMENTARY Secretary for Health Daniel Andrews visited Cranbourne this week to announce funding to help people with chronic diseases.
Mr Andrews met clients and staff at the Cranbourne Integrated Care Centre as he announced the extra money, which is expected to help link a range of health professionals to assist those with chronic illnesses.
The funding is part of a State Government initiative to help people with chronic conditions such as diabetes, cardiovascular, respiratory and mental health issues.
Mr Andrews said the funding boost would help residents in Casey and Cardinia avoid hospital and stay healthy at home.
“It will also help older locals with complex needs from ending up in hospital if their condition is not expertly managed,” he said.
