Group attacks man

POLICE are searching for a group of men who attacked another man in Hampton Park on the weekend.
The 26-year-old was walking back home from Foodies on Ormond Road when he was set upon by four or five men.
He received lacerations to the back of the head and face and was taken to the Dandenong Hospital for treatment, including stitches. Police said no weapons were used in the attack. The assault happened about 1am on Saturday.
The offenders were said to be of Islander appearance and wearing jeans and tight T-shirts. Anyone with information is urged to contact Detective Senior Constable Ray Ross at Cranbourne CIU on 5991 0661 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
