Akoonah Park market

The Akoonah Park Committee of Management conduct a very popular weekly Sunday market from their main buildings and surrounds at the highway end of the grounds. The promotion of the market brings many people from country and city areas into Berwick. The profits from the running of this market are the major source of funding for maintenance and capital improvements for the Akoonah Park.

• Akoonah Park (Berwick showgrounds), 3 Cardinia St, Berwick. Sunday 20 May from 8am to 1.30pm.

Fundraiser walk

Take a short, medium or long stroll while raising funds for an East Timorese project as part of Walk for East Timor. Organised by Friends of Ermera, it raises funds for English language study centres in Timor Leste. Cost $20/$10, including a light lunch.

Want to get back on a bike? Love riding but want company? We welcome all riders to join us in a safe, social riding group that is for all levels.
