Families visiting the Royal Botanic Gardens in Cranbourne during the school holidays have enjoyed some leafy fun.
Children were encouraged to build a cubby village from materials collected from the gardens as part of the free program Botanica on Wednesday, 11 April.
The event, developed by artist Darryl Cordell, celebrated the launch of Nature Play Week which offered kids free bush play adventure.
An Aboriginal smoking ceremony was also performed as part of the welcome.
The free, family event runs from 11am to 3pm from April 11-14.The public are invited to bring a picnic and join in the fun.
