CHILDREN’S Week celebrations kicked off in Cranbourne this week with kids spoilt with copious free activities and giveaways.
Bronwyn Owen from Windermere Child and Family Services said the organisation’s Communities for Children program had helped put on an array of activities for the youngsters.
On Monday, kids had a ball at Cranbourne Park Primary School having their faces painted and taking part in a range of fun activities, including art and craft.
Yesterday, (Wednesday) children were treated to a sausage sizzle, face painting and free showbags at Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre.
Starting tonight (Thursday) parents can take part in a workshop about the importance of play and hear from two guest speakers, with the free mini conference running on to Friday.
A ventriloquist will also launch a new literary kit at the conference.
