Wall collapse injures five in Cranbourne shopping centre

TWO people have been taken to hospital with minor head injuries after a temporary wall collapsed inside Cranbourne Park Shopping Centre.
But no-one has been trapped, despite earlier reports.
CFA were called to the centre around 12.30pm amid concerns people had been trapped under the wall, but this proved untrue.
Everyone injured in the incident is in a stable condition.
A man in his fifties has been taken to Casey Hospital with a head injury, while a woman in her eighties was taken to Dandenong Hospital, also with an injury to her head.
Another man and two other women sustained minor injuries but were treated on scene.
Local trader Sanjay said he was having a coffee at Gloria Jeans nearby when he heard a “really loud noise” and ran to see what the commotion was.
“The local ambulance came and one guy was on a stretcher,” he said.
“It took them 20 minutes or so to get there.
“I saw people were running but immediately a security guard came and blocked off the area.”
The temporary wall was set up in front of one of the stores still under construction at the newly opened shopping centre extensions.
The cause of the collapse was unknown.
