Steady Steve wins A grade

TUESDAY

No wind and the course in perfect condition saw great scores, with 37 points getting a ball down the line.

Dave Austin (19) had a day out with 42 points to take out Division 2 and Col Maclean (12) played solid to win Division 1 with 38 points.

Nearest the pins went to M Fahey (fifth), D Austin (ninth), S Fuller (12th) and P Farrell (15th).

WEDNESDAY

Once again Heather Payne (28) and Chris Caig (30) went head-to-head but this time Payne got the chocolates, winning the day with 39 points.

35 points won a ball and nearest the pins went to H Payne (12th).

THURSDAY

Dave Austin (18) was playing like he was on tour with another round of the day, 41 points to take out Division 1.

Nev Rangikauhata (20) also made the course look easy with 41 points of his own to win Division 2.

Balls went to 34 points and nearest the pins were won by P Boyd (5th), S Bray 9th), T Purdy (12th) and S Rawlings (15th).

SATURDAY

171 players enjoyed a magnificent Saturday of golf and though most players prefer not to play par, it didn’t show with great scores coming in all day.

Alex Armstrong (25) has been working hard on his game and it showed with +7 taking out C-Grade.

Steve “Steady” Rawlings (10) showed why he got that nickname with +4 and winning A-Grade.

Nicole Ellen (22) did the ladies proud with an impressive +5 to take out B-Grade.

Square won a ball and nearest the pins went to A Wiesniewski and M Dalzell third, K Greenland and M Warburton (5th), F Leontini and T Davis (9th), D Cameron and S Rushby (12th) and JJ Jenkins (15th).
