Child hit by car

A child has been hit by a car outside Cranbourne Primary School.

Paramedics were called to the incident on Bakewell Street in Cranbourne about 3.25pm on Thursday 17 December.

Ambulance Victoria confirmed one child has been flown to the Royal Children’s Hospital in a serious condition with lower body injuries.

Victoria Police are currently at the scene.

Investigators were called after a child ran out onto the road and was struck by a car.

The driver of the car stopped and is assisting police with their enquiries.
