Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding a fatal collision in Gembrook after a Cranbourne woman died as a result of the Saturday 20 June incident.
Investigators believe a Honda Jazz was travelling along Gembrook Road about 12.50pm.
Police allege the driver lost control of the Honda which crossed onto the wrong side of the road and collided with a Holden station wagon.
The driver of the Holden, a 60-year-old man from Cranbourne, and his passenger, a 55-year-old woman from Cranbourne, were taken to hospital with serious injuries where the woman later died.
The driver of the Honda, a 20-year-old woman from Narre Warren, and a passenger, a 17-year-old woman from Berwick, were taken to hospital with minor injuries.
The woman’s death brings to 108 the state’s road toll for 2020.
