New preps get ready for school

New preps took their first steps on the grounds of Tooradin Primary School on 16 December as they prepare to start school next year.

The students, who will start 2020, were very excited to attend their orientation day.

This is the final part of the transition process that began back at the beginning of Term 3.

The students spent the day with their new teachers decorating Christmas biscuits and putting their own mark in their new classrooms.

They were thrilled to meet their Grade 6 buddies and spent some time getting to know one another while participating in Christmas craft activities.

“Some students were so eager they actually dressed up in their new school uniform” prep teacher Liz Hill said.

Ms Hill along with prep teachers Maja Maracic and Kirsty Johnson “can’t wait” to see them back in 2020.
