The community has got into the Christmas spirit with carols and fun activities at the Turningpoint Food Support annual Christmas family fun day in Cranbourne.

More than 200 people gathered on Saturday 7 December where 60 Christmas hampers (one per family), 60 adult gifts, and wooden toys – handmade by the Berwick District Woodworkers Club – were handed out as gifts for children.

There was also a jumping castle, popcorn machine, a clown, face painting, balloon sculpting, and games held on the lawn area including a sack race, three legged race, egg and spoon, tug of war, and a leap frog race.

The day also featured basketball, table tennis and a soccer table set up in the auditorium and outside café area.

Food included different salads, burgers, barbeque, sausages, drinks, and a free coffee.

The event finished with some Christmas favourite carols and handing out of Christmas gifts and hampers full of Christmas goodies.
