Man takes off with groceries

Police are appealing to the public to help identify a man who may assist their enquiries following a theft in Cranbourne West on 23 June.

It’s alleged a man entered a supermarket before filling up a shopping basket with a number of items about 11.45pm.

He was about to exit the store when he asked by a staff member if he needed any help with the registers.

The male became aggressive and verbally threatened the staff member before leaving the store, police say.

He was then seen getting into a silver Holden Commodore in the car park.

Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
