Nan and pop have been treated to a fun day out at Tooradin Primary School.
Students welcomed their grandparents through their school gates where they enjoyed classroom activities including a quiz, cooking homemade pasta sauce and sharing stories of school life on Thursday 15 August.
The kids also took the time to bake some tasty treats during their cooking classes to celebrate the annual Grandparent’s Day event.
Teacher Rachel Davis said some grandparents even got to help planting in the school vegetable garden as a part of student’s gardening classes.
“The children were very excited to show art displays and work samples that were on display and provide their Grandparents with a warm cup of homemade lentil soup on a cold winter’s day,” she said.
“Thank you to all our wonderful grandparents and friends who came to school and we hope they enjoyed the morning as much as we did.”
