Three taken to hospital

Police and ambulance responded to the scene of a two-car collision with multiple injuries in Cranbourne on Wednesday 15 August.

The incident happened at the intersection of Narre Warren Road – Cranbourne and Marklin Street about 7.30pm.

Cranbourne Highway Patrol attended and believe a vehicle was travelling south on Narre Warren Road – Cranbourne when it rear-ended a car also travelling south-bound.

Paramedics assessed five people at the scene including a teenage girl who suffered soft tissue injuries, woman in her 20s who also suffered soft tissue injuries, and a second teenage girl who had facial injuries and soft tissue injuries.

All three were taken to Dandenong Hospital in stable conditions.

Two men were assessed at the scene but were not transported to hospital.

Police are investigating the cause and are awaiting the results of a toxicology report for the offending driver.

He is expected to be summonsed to court at a later date.
