Police lock up man following burglary

A man has been charged following an alleged aggravated burglary in Cranbourne on Sunday 22 July.

It is alleged the man entered a private address in Bundjil court about 8.30pm and threatened the occupants.

Casey Crime Investigation Unit detectives arrested the man, 29, of no fixed address shortly after the incident and was charged with aggravated burglary before being remanded overnight.

A female sustained a minor laceration to her hand and attended hospital for treatment.

Police believe the parties are known to each other.

He will appear at Melbourne Magistrate’s court for a filing hearing.

SES assisted police on the morning of Monday 23 July in a line search for a knife police believe was used in the alleged aggravated burglary.
