Driver is now a walker

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

A young woman from Cranbourne has lost her licence after only obtaining it four months ago for playing a ‘cat and mouse’ game with another car.
Police clocked the woman in a Suzuki Swift and a man in a Nissan X-Trail travelling along Cranbourne Road in Langwarrin about 11.30pm on Thursday 27 April.
The drivers began their dangerous game when they sped away from a set of traffic lights and reached speeds of 136km/h as they travelled side by side in the 80km/h zone.
The 23-year-old woman from Cranbourne’s car was impounded for 30 days and she will have to pay $1060 towing and storage costs to get it back.
She is also expected to be charged on summons with driving at a dangerous speed, exceeding the speed limit and carrying more than one peer passenger.
The driver of the Nissan X-Trail, a 23-year-old Frankston man, is expected to be charged on summons with driving at a dangerous speed and exceeding the speed limit.

His car was also impounded.
