Fields of water dreams

SOME of the nation’s leading sportsground managers gathered at Casey Fields for the annual Parks and Leisure Australia Seminar Series.
Turf management, irrigation and curating were discussed at the event on Wednesday 24 February.
Managers were taken on a tour of the Casey Fields stormwater harvesting system, which is considered one of the industry’s leading examples of water management for sporting grounds.
City of Casey Mayor Sam Aziz said the decision to host the seminar at Casey Fields was acknowledgement of how well regarded the facility is within the industry.
“The delegates were highly impressed with what we’ve achieved at Casey Fields and some of our work here will be considered as a benchmark for projects happening around Victoria and Tasmania,” Cr Aziz said.
