SHE says fitness is in her blood – and it’s taking her from Cranbourne to Las Vegas.
Personal trainer and nutritional therapist Davina Maree, 32, has qualified to compete in an international body building competition next month.
A world renowned multi sports expo, the Natural Olympia Las Vegas is one of the biggest of its kind and something Davina has worked hard to qualify for.
“Most days I’m at the gym, five days I’m strength training and the other two I’m doing cardio,” Davina said.
Having grown up in a family of bakers, Davina said fitness became an early passion of hers.
“I was exposed to the effects of poor dietary choices and the toll it takes on the body and this developed a keen interest in good health practices,” she said.
After training for just four months Davina entered her first body building competition in September this year, and Las Vegas will mark just her third competition.
“I find fitness and nutrition complement each other and I’m constantly researching new science to facilitate the best nutrition protocols,” she said.
Flying out on Sunday 1 November Davina will be up against hundreds of other sculptured gym junkies.
