MONDAY marked an extra special day for Prep students at Tooradin Primary School.
It was their 100th day of primary school and in keeping with the theme each student was asked to bring a collection of 100 things from around their home.
Early Years Co-ordinator Rachel Davis said the day was a milestone.
“It only occurs once in all their years at school,” she said.
The day was filled with lots of counting as the students presented their big collections.
“We had 100 Lego blocks, 100 petals, 100 beads and even 100 origami cranes,” she said.
Excited about what they had learnt in just 100 days of school, Ms Davis said the Preps discussed different ways of counting to 100 and were encouraged to practice counting their collections at home with their families.
“We hope that the thrill they get now from learning each day carries through into a bright future for each and every one of them,” she said.
