Golf day comes true

By BRIDGET SCOTT

MORE than $20,000 raised at a charity golf day in Cranbourne last week will help grant the wishes of sick children across Victoria.
Facey Industrial Commercial in Cranbourne hosted its 20th golf event on Friday 14 November which raised between $20,000 and $25,000.
All monies raised will be donated to the Make-A-Wish Foundation for the 20th year in a row.
A 16-year-old boy from the foundation was a guest speaker on the day and spoke about his own experiences with the charity, which included the chance to meet Miley Cyrus.
Josh Kendal from Facey said since the event started 20 years ago the real estate agency has raised nearly half a million dollars for the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
Cranbourne Holden also donated a car which could be won by a player that got a hole in one. However there were no winners on the day.
“We will look forward to another shot at it next year,” Mr Kendall said.
He added that the final total is still to be confirmed and that the real estate agency was grateful for a $5000 donation from one company on the day.
He estimated that about 80 people teed off and said he was proud of how successful the day was.
