Market is all for the cause

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

THE Casey community is being encouraged to come down to this month’s Relay for Life fund-raising market.
The market will be held on Saturday 25 October and is an opportunity for teams to raise last minute funding before next month’s Relay for Life.
Committee member Ash Leicester is helping to organise the market and said it was a great way to show additional support to cancer patients and their families.
“Everyone loves a market and this market is supporting cancer patients and families get through every day,” she said.
There will be a range of stalls open to guests at the market, including Fragrance to Flames, The Body Shop at Home, Custom Baby and many more.
The Narre Warren North Girl Guides will also be organising a sausage sizzle for the event.
The Relay for Life fund-raising market will be held at the Narre Warren North Girl Guide Hall from 8am to 3pm.
And next month’s Relay for Life will take place from Saturday 8 to Sunday 9 November at the Rugby Field, Casey Fields in Cranbourne East.
Fellow committee member Brooke Hunter couldn’t speak highly enough of the event.
“Money raised through Relay for Life helps Cancer Council Victoria to fund research, implement prevention programs and provide support services for those affected by cancer in Cranbourne and Narre Warren,” she said.
The Cancer Council Helpline can be contacted on 13 11 20.
