Raid nets drugs and guns

POLICE seized shotguns, a rifle, stolen motorbikes and a commercial quantity of drugs during a raid on a Narre Warren house last week.
Police searched a house in Debanne Court on Wednesday and charged the home owner with a string of alleged offences.
Three shotguns, one sawn-off rifle and three stolen motorbikes were located at the house.
Police said that two of the shotguns were stolen and the motorbikes were all taken from Melbourne CBD about a month ago.
Police also found a commercial quantity of a precursor chemical, with an estimated value of $80,000, which turns into the drug GHB when ingested.
A 41-year-old man was arrested at the premises.
He has been charged with possessing a commercial quantity of a drug of dependence, firearm related offences and handling stolen goods.
He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on 16 September.
