Movie messages on show

By LACHLAN MOORHEAD

CHRISTMAS time isn’t just about the carols, but also the stories.
Members of the Narre Warren Baptist Church will be bringing these stories to life when they perform their annual Christmas production next week, this year titled The Christmas Movie.
The production is a combination of several Christmas yarns, based on three movies including A Christmas Carol, The Grinch and It’s a Wonderful Life.
Leigh Kohler, from Narre Warren Baptist Church, said the production would take place over three nights and expected the audience to be very entertained by the fantastic costumes, hilarious scripts and the powerful Christmas message.
“It’s a different show every year. We have two big ones, Easter and Christmas,” he said.
“This year we’ve decided to draw on previous Christmas movies that have a great message.”
Mr Kohler said this year’s cast was very diverse with ages ranging from 11 to over 50, with majority being young adults.
The production will take place at Narre Warren Baptist Church, corner of Fox Road and Narre Warren North Road, on 13 and 14 December from 7pm and 15 December from 10am, 1pm and 6pm.
