Kick in for colours

By BRIDGET COOK

FOOTY fever hit Tooradin Primary School last week as students finished the term off with a kick.
The school held a football day on the last day of term with students and teachers dressing up in their team colours.
A parade was held in the morning during which students showed off their team colours as the different theme songs played over the loud speaker and then everyone enjoyed a lunch of hotdogs together.
The school house captains and vice captains organised and supervised a range of footy activities for the students to take part in, including footy bounce relays, handball skills and taking ‘speckies’ on the high jump mat.
Teacher Katie Neidhart said the day was a fantastic way to see the term out.
“Everyone had a great day and showed their team spirit,” she said.
“It was fantastic to see all children cheering on their friends regardless of which team they barracked for, as well as a great turn out of parents.
“Thanks to everyone who participated and made this a fantastic event.”
