ROYAL Botanic Gardens Cranbourne will celebrate Australia’s most iconic plant – the Eucalypt – this Easter.
The gardens will host The Eucalypt Festival on Sunday 31 March and Monday 1 April.
The festival will have a range of free family fun from kids’ activities to walks, talks and workshops.
The kids will love the chocolate Easter Bandicoot Hunt, art and craft activities, live music, face painting and roving performers.
Those looking for an educational experience can take a guided tour through the Eucalypt Walk of the Australian Garden, a hands-on gardening workshop, or learn how to play a didgeridoo and find out how they were made from eucalypts.
Royal Botanic Gardens Cranbourne visitor programs coordinator Jo Fyfe encouraged people to go along.
“If you have not seen the recently completed Australian Garden, then Easter will be a special time to visit,” she said.
“After 20 years of planning, construction and planting, the Australian Garden is a must-see destination.”
The gardens are located at the corner of Ballarto Road and Botanic Drive, Cranbourne.
