Water savvy Settlers

SETTLERS Run at Botanic Ridge has been recognised for its water management measures, taking out an awards for its efforts.
The residential development took out a 2011 UDIA Victoria Award for Excellence in the Integrated Water Management category.
This is the second UDIA award Settlers Run has won, after taking the Landscaping category in 2009.
Daniel Smith, the Victorian general manager for Medallist Developments, the company responsible for the development, said he was absolutely thrilled with the award.
“Despite stiff competition, we were quietly confident that the innovative and thoughtful approach we took to water management at Settlers Run would be recognised by the UDIA judging panel,” he said.
Settlers Run will now compete against winners from across Australia at the national awards ceremony in Perth next year.
