Sneak peek at week

THE Casey community is being encouraged to celebrate Education Week, which runs until 21 May.
South Eastern Metropolitan Region MP and Parliamentary Secretary for Education Inga Peulich said Education Week was a great opportunity for Casey schools to come together and show the importance of education.
“We celebrate the importance of Education Week because it is imperative that our youth have a strong and positive educational experience,” Ms Peulich said.
“This is a chance for schools to showcase the programs they have to inspire good performance from their students.”
Ms Peulich said the Baillieu Government was committed to improving educational outcomes for Casey students and schools for our local multicultural communities.
“We are investing in the education of our children in important areas such as maths and the sciences that will ensure they have the knowledge that can help them to lead successful lives,” she said.
“The Baillieu Government is investing $16.6 million in language education by increasing grants for Community Language Schools.
“I encourage the people of Casey to support their local schools by participating in the various events taking place during Education Week.”
