Sounds in the mix

A MIX of current and former members of the Cranbourne Lions Concert Band will take to the stage later this month to celebrate their 25th anniversary.
Their anniversary celebrations will be held on 22 May, coinciding with their 10th annual band festival.
Other bands that will perform at the festival include Westernport Regional Band, Southern Peninsula Concert Band and Casey Concert Band, as well as a “reunion band” of former members, who will be led by past musical directors Peter Sharp, David Howes and Howard Coleman.
Cranbourne Lions Concert Band has always aimed to enhance and strengthen the arts and cultural diversity within the City of Casey, promote the enjoyment of music in the broader community, and support local functions and events.
Over their 25-year history, they have had many major achievements including performing at the Ettamogah Pub, the Dandenong and Berwick shows, Moomba and other major festivals, Federation Square and at local Christmas Carol concerts.
The concert will be held at Cranbourne Community Theatre, Brunt St, Cranbourne on 22 May 2011 from 2pm. Tickets are $10 for adults and $8 concession. Bookings and inquiries: Chantelle 0425 730 990.
