THE City of Casey is taking steps towards improving participation and inclusion for people with a disability in community life.
The council is seeking feedback to help identify key issues that affect people with a disability to fully participate in community life.
City of Casey Mayor Shar Balmes said the council would seek to identify the key priorities to make improvements.
“The City of Casey is a great place to call home and to ensure it offers the most welcoming and inclusive environment for all members of the community, and council needs to better understand the areas which may need improvement for people with a disability,” Cr Balmes said.
City of Casey community strengthening acting manager Lisa Speirs said the council encouraged all interested residents to provide feedback.A number of different forms of consultation are being undertaken, including face-to-face interviews, group consultation, hardcopy and online surveys, in order to give all members of the community an opportunity to provide feedback.
