A CHRISTMAS tradition is continuing at Botanic Gardens Retirement Village, and next year is set to be bigger and better.
Men at the village have been busy all year making toys that are donated to the Cranbourne Salvation Army to give away to those in need in time for Christmas. The production line is expected to increase next year, with the double garage at the retirement village due to be transformed into an official Men’s Shed. It will be known as the Junction Village Men’s Shed, and retirement village resident Les Smith said it would be open to men outside the village as well. Mr Smith said a group of men from the retirement village worked hard each year to make the toys, and looked forward to welcoming many more members to the Junction Village Men’s Shed.
