VOLUNTEERS were given a big thank you at Cranbourne Secondary College last month.
The generous volunteers who donated their time to assist the school throughout the year were celebrated at the Volunteer Appreciation Dinner on 24 November, with the theme ‘You’re All Heart’.
Casey councillor Kevin Bradford was the guest speaker at the event, and a Year10 singing group Psalm and Year 9 dance group Kick Back Kids were both a hit with the entertainment.
Community liaison worker for the school Karen Davis said the partnerships between teachers, students, families, local organisations and industry were important in order to foster a culture of life-long learning and a shared sense of community.
