CASEY residents honoured fallen service people when they flocked to Remembrance Day services around the municipality yesterday.
The Cranbourne RSL branch held a minute’s silence at the 11th hour at the Cenotaph in Cranbourne.
Vice president of the Cranbourne branch Bill Shepherd led the service, and Lieutenant Poulson from HMAS Cerbrus was the guest speaker.
Representatives from local schools and groups laid wreaths at the service and included those from the Cranbourne Ladies Probus Club, Cranbourne Senior Citizens Club, Merinda Park Learning Community Centre, Cranbourne Squadron of Australian Air League and Cranbourne Red Cross.
Captain Peter Walker played the Last Post.
