Cheers to craft success

A GROUP of locals who crafted Cranbourne’s first arts and crafts society are celebrating its success.
A group of about six people started the Cranbourne Arts and Crafts Society about six months ago and there are now more than 40 members.
One of the members Pam Bankes-Fay said the numbers grew by word of mouth.
“We knew we loved our art but we didn’t know how to form a society. But with a bit of help it has grown in leaps and bounds,” Mrs Bankes-Fay said.
There is a range of ages and artistic mediums in the group including mosaic, jewellery making, painting, woodturning and photography.“Everyone is different and we offer each other help and ideas. It’s a social outlet too. We do quite a lot of talking.”
