A PRESTIGIOUS Cranbourne golf club has been crowned as one of the best residential courses in Australia.
Settlers Run Golf and Country Club was ranked the fifth best residential course in Victoria and 10th overall in Australia in the second biennial Golf Australia’s Best 30 Residential Courses list.
The rankings were based on course design, course conditioning and the ‘wow factor’ of the development.
The club was opened in October 2007.
Settlers Run general manager Jane Bell said the ranking reinforced what staff and residents already thought of the club.
“The team at Settlers Run and our residents have always believed the development to be one of the best in Australia, so to be named the fifth best residential course in the state by Golf Australia is a great honour,” she said.
“We are very proud of the reputation Settlers Run has secured since opening, not only as a golf course but as a wonderful place to live.”
More than 400 people are members of the club, which boasts a Greg Norman-designed championship golf course.
Settlers Run Golf and Country Club is managed by Troon Golf, a recognised leader in prestige golf course management, development and marketing around the world.
