CRANBOURNE RSL sub-branch members will vote this month whether to amalgamate with their Dandenong equivalent.
Members have been told that over the past four to five years the Cranbourne sub-branch has been experiencing some financial issues and Anzac House has asked Dandenong to meet its committee to discuss any possible assistance.
It was agreed that an amalgamation of the two sub-branches would be the best possible result and that using their combined financial strength to redevelop the Cranbourne site, would remove their debt and offer current and future members the best facilities available.
It was also agreed that the RSL must maintain a presence within the Cranbourne region as it was one of the fastest-growing residential areas in Australia.
The two sub-branches will vote on the proposal on Sunday week (29 March).
If they agree the combined branch will be known as the Dandenong Cranbourne RSL sub-branch, one of the biggest in the state.
